At Homeward Bound Decor, we want you to love your purchase. If you're not completely satisfied, we offer returns within 14 days of delivery.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, items must meet the following conditions:

Return requested within 14 days of delivery

Items unused and in original condition

All original packaging, tags, and labels intact

Return authorization obtained before sending items back

Free Returns

We offer free return shipping on:

Orders over £200

Faulty or damaged items (reported within 48 hours of delivery with photos)

Items that don't match the product description

Customer-Paid Returns

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer for:

Orders under £200

Sale, discounted, or clearance items

Returns due to customer error (wrong size, colour, or item ordered)

Change of mind purchases

Important: For items over £300, we require tracked and insured return shipping to protect both parties. If an item is lost or damaged in return transit without insurance, the customer is responsible.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

Custom or personalized products

Made-to-order items

Sale, discount, or clearance items marked as "final sale"

Items removed from original packaging (where applicable for quality/hygiene)

Items without original tags or labels

Products damaged due to misuse or improper care

Gift cards

How to Request a Return

Step 1: Contact us within 14 days of receiving your order

Include your order number, item(s) to return, and reason for return

Step 2: Receive your Return Authorization Number

We'll review your request and provide authorization within 1-2 business days

You'll receive return instructions and our returns address

Step 3: Pack and ship your return

Pack items securely in original packaging

Include your Return Authorization Number clearly visible

Exchanges

We're happy to exchange items for a different product of equal or lesser value, subject to availability.

Exchanges must be requested within the same 14-day return window

Only one exchange per order

If exchanging for a lower-priced item, the difference will be issued as store credit

No exchanges on sale or discounted items

Same eligibility requirements apply as returns

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return:

Refund processing: 5-10 business days after receipt

Refund method: Original payment method

Inspection required: Items must pass our quality inspection

Restocking fees may apply:

15% restocking fee if original packaging is missing or damaged

15% restocking fee for returns due to customer error (wrong item ordered)

No restocking fee for faulty items or our errors

Refund reductions: If returned items show signs of use, damage, or missing components, your refund will be reduced accordingly or may be refused.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty:

Report within 48 hours of delivery with photos

We'll arrange free collection or provide a prepaid return label

Full refund or replacement provided

After 48 hours, we cannot guarantee responsibility for damage

Store Credit Option

Choose store credit instead of a refund and enjoy:

Free return shipping (we'll email you a prepaid return label)

Faster processing (credit issued within 3 business days)

Valid for 12 months from issue date

Return Shipping Tips

Use a tracked shipping service for your protection

Keep your shipping receipt until refund is processed

For heavy items (over 10kg), consider using a courier service for better rates

Package items carefully to prevent damage in transit

Ensure the return address is clearly written on the package
